  • No, Mobility Physical Therapy is an out-of-network provider meaning that we are not beholden to insurance restrictions and limitations. This allows us to deliver one-on-one care to provide entirely individualized treatment sessions.

    Some insurances will, however, reimburse a percentage of the session cost. To find out if you have out-of-network coverage, please call the toll free number for customer service on the back of your insurance card and ask a customer service provider to quote your outpatient, out-of-network physical therapy benefits.

    We accept FSA/HSA for payment.

  • No, a referral or prescription is NOT required for initiating physical therapy with Mobility Physical Therapy. Massachusetts is a direct access state which means that as Doctors of Physical Therapy, we are able to diagnose and treat patients independently. We will refer to the appropriate provider when condition falls outside our scope of practice. Note that a referral may be required if you are being reimbursed by your insurance company.   • Yes! One of the benefits of being out-of-network is that Mobility gives you, the patient, ultimate flexibility. If you are already undergoing physical therapy treatment and think that you would benefit from additional hands-on treatment, you can receive treatment at Mobility while continuing to see your primary physical therapist.

  • Absolutely! While traditional physical therapy is often initiated after an injury, it can be used proactively to reduce likelihood of injury or prevent a small injury from worsening.

  • Definitely! While Mobility Physical Therapy is hands-on focused, we are also able to design effective treatments that are exercise and educated based. All are welcome here.

  • You should wear clothing that you feel comfortable moving in. A change of clothing is always a great option for people who are coming from work, social activity, etc.

  • Yes, we have multiple parking spaces in front of the building with two parking lots available behind the building.

    We also have multiple bike locking stations with security cameras outside the front door.

    We are adjacent to multiple walking and bike paths and are 0.5 miles from the Alewife T Station.

  • We are entering into a cooperative partnership to help you attain your maximal physical therapy goals. It is understandable that circumstances may arise which cause you to cancel your appointment. However, cancellations have a serious impact on the clinic. Cancellations more than 24 hours in advance will not be charged. Cancellations less than 24 hours in advance without a reschedule and no shows will pay a cancellation fee of full price of the service. Extenuating circumstances will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
